3 Awards in International Microwave Symposium

Our students of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering attended International Microwave Symposium and received 3 awards with their project.

Student Design Competitions took place within the context of “IMS 2015 - International Microwave Symposium” organized in America in May. In the competition attended by 7 of our students with the support of the Rector’s Office, Res. Assist. Eng. M.Sc. Osman Ceylan undertook the team leadership.

The team made up of Onur Çakar, Alican Çağlar, Bahadır Tuğrel, Kaan Kula and Oğuz Kışlal took the 1. prize with “Design of Software Defined Radio and Ground Station System for CubeSats”. Eşref Türkmen was deemed worthy of the 1. prize and won IEEE-MTT Undergraduate Achievement Scholarship with “Tunable X-Band Oscillator Design”. “Packaged SIW Filter Design” project brought the 2. prize to Ahmet Önal and Osman Ceylan.
