After the musical performance our Rector Prof. Mehmet Karaca took the floor. In his speech accompanied by the pictures demonstrating the changes in our university Karaca pointed out that 2016 will be the year of new projects and big changes. “Dear partners, we have launched a number of projects, the Green Campus project, in the first place. A number of new venues on the campus have been created. Private Health Insurance program has been widely used by our academic and administrative staff, and we prolonged the contract for this year. In addition, the medical license of our Medical-Social Center has been renewed. All these are extremely important for our university in my opinion. We have opened ITU Ankara Unit to facilitate beuracratic procedures and bring together ITU graduates. I kindly ask you, our dear graduates and retired members, not to break your bond with ITU. Our doors are always open for you,” said Karaca. Our Rector thanked everyone working for ITU and wished health, success and happiness in 2016.

After the speech delivered by our Rector the plaques were presented to the academic and administrative members of staff retired in 2015. Our academicians, who contributed to the success of our university in 2015, were invited to the stage to receive certificates of appreciation from our Rector. The program concluded with the cocktail.
