Turkish-Tunisia Universities Collaboration Forum was held at ITU

“II. Turkish-Tunisia Universities Collaboration Forum” was held by Higher Education Council on Monday, May 2, 2016 at ITU Suleyman Demirel Cultural Center.

15 universities from Turkey and 8 universities from Tunisia participated in the forum held to increase the collaboration in higher education between two countries.


Prof. Dr. Rahmi Er, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hatiboğlu, members of Higher Education Council, and Rectors of Tunisia Universities under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Selim Şura, General Director of International Relations, Ministry of Scientific Research participated in the forum.


From Turkey, with our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karaca, the rectors and vice-rectors of Adnan Menderes, Atatürk, Bülent Ecevit, Çankırı Karatekin, Çukurova, Erzurum Teknik, Gebze Teknik, Hacettepe, İstanbul, İzmir Katip Çelebi, Marmara, Mersin, Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar ve Uludağ universities also attended the forum.


In four sessions held after the opening speeches, it was agreed to work on student exchange, scientific collaboration, joint project management and faculty exchange. Also, it was decided to support the collaboration projects between two countries on joint history, civilization and philosophy.  


After the forum, delegations of the two countries carried out a visit covering ITU Ayazağa Campus, laboratories, and ITU Technocity.
