While our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karaca underlined great success of the studies of Prof. Dr. Hadis Morkoç, he also emphasized that this case is a proud example indicating that after completing their under-graduate and graduate studies, graduates of ITU may study at an important university like Virginia University, or they may even become the department head. Our Rector also added that we will experience these good examples more in the future.  Stating that ITU is the closest university to the 3rd generation universities with its 243 years of experience, Karaca continued his words by telling that Faculty of Electrical and Electronics is one of the leading faculties in this sense.
