Fashion Wind Blew at ITU FASHION SHOW 2016

Our university said “Hello” to 2017 Spring-Summer Fashion from today. The young fashion designers, 9th term graduates of ITU-FIT Fashion Design Program, which is held in cooperation with Fashion Institute of Technology, exhibited their 2017 Spring-Summer custom creation with a glamorous fashion show organized in Divan Istanbul. As a result of the evaluations of jury composed of the leading names of ready-made clothing and fashion industry, Cemile Meryem Özge Şimşek became the first, Ceylin Türkkan was the second, Beste Beksaç was the third in the colorful fashion show with the choreography of Banu Noyan and the presentations of Ece Vahapoğlu ve Gökay Kalaycıoğlu. Among the young designers of the competition, Sibel Yılmaz was awarded with “Styling In-House Training” and “iPad” tablet special award held by “Institutional Academy” within LC Waikiki, one of the main sponsors of the contest. Merve Başkaya was awarded with Tetaş-Shima Seiki Special Award which provides a-week long knitwear design training in Japan-Wakayama, in the company of Shima Seiki, one of the supporters of the organization.
ITU graduates have achieved a significant success in the field of clothing with the fashion show attracting intense attention of fashion and clothing industry.
