IEEE Turkey Students and Young Professionals Met at ITU
Sep 05, 2016

Young minds in the field of electrical and electronics engineering gathered at an IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) organisation hosted by ITU. 14th IEEE Turkey Student and Young Professional Congress, held by ITU IEEE Student Branch at ITU Suleyman Demirel Cultural Center, brought together all IEEE student branches in Turkey. The members and executive boards of IEEE student branches shared information with each other about the annual projects and evaluated the key activities of the year in the field.

In the light of the recent global technological developments, a number of viable projects were specified at the meetings. The participants stated that with the introduction of technical sessions enriching its scope, the congress was a highly fruitful experience in terms of informing their career plans.

The four-day congress included training sessions and workshops on engineering and career choice. The presence of IEEE Young Professionals provided the participants with the opportunity to network with IEEE alumni and learn from their experiences. Also, the congress was enlivened by games and competitions intended to boost the participants’ motivation.
