• ITU Underwater Athletes Reach the Medal Rostrum

    ITU athletes from ITU Sports Club ranked second in the “2016 Golden Flippers Underwater Imaging Turkey Championship”, organized by Turkish Underwater Sports Federation. 46 athletes from 14 teams competed to capture the best images in the championship that took place in Kemer Üç Adalar, renown for its reefs, underwater caves, and rich habitat. ITU athletes Taner Atılgan and Cenk Ceylanoğlu triumphed in the competition with the scores they obtained.

  • Top Four Companies of Audit & Consulting Sector Met At Big4 Summit

    Big4 Summit, organized jointly by the Department of Economics at Faculty of Management and ITU Economics Club, has brought together the managers of four big audit and consulting companies in Turkey. Managers of Ernst & Young, Klynveld Main Goerdeler - KPMG, Deloitte, and PricewaterhouseCoopers – PwC spoke at the summit that was held on 21 October at ITU Maçka Campus, which attracted a lot of students who were interested in attending the event.

  • ITU Facilis Car Runs 300 km in 1 Liter

    ITU Facilis Automobile Team, developing energy-saving vehicles since 2011, has won one of the races in the Shell Eco-marathon Turkey competition. The name Facilis was inspired by the appearance and motion of the team’s vehicle that the team thought resembled the “Macaw” bird during its aerodynamic modeling phase. The vehicle, colored the same as a Macaw, was able to run 300 km in 1 liter in prototype gasoline-powered vehicle category.

ITU will host an exhibition that will feature a collection of Sehavet Mersinoglu's (MSc) handwritten maps and notes as well as the course book “Geoscience Cartography”, which was penned by her. The exhibition, to be displayed for a period of two weeks in Mustafa Inan Library at Ayazaga Campus after it is opened by ITU Rector Prof. Mehmet Karaca on October 27, 10:30, aims to shed light onto Turkey’s history of cartography through the works of Sehavet Mersinoglu, Turkey’s first woman cartographer.
