The Deputy Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Assist. Prof. Dr. Aslı Çalkıvik has achieved international success by being elected to the Board of Directors of the International Studies Association (ISA), the world's largest and most respected organization in international relations, with 6500 academics from 100 countries.


Beating out candidates from Colgate University in the United States and Durham University in England, Dr Çalkıvik will take over the task of "Vice-Chairperson of the Theory Section" commencing with a congress to be held in Baltimore, United States from February 22-25, 2017.
