What are IAESTE and IAESTE Turkey?

IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience), founded in 1948 in London with the initiative of 10 countries, it is a confederation of academia, industry groups, and a combination of national committees representing the common interests of university students. IAESTE, which aims to build strong cooperative relationships between companies, universities and university students across geographical boundaries, enables qualified engineers and scientists to gain new experience in different parts of the world.

While continuing to operate in about 85 countries and with over 3,000 trainees passing through the organization each year, Turkey’s headquarters, IAESTE Turkey, was formed by our university in 1955. The Rectorate-affiliated legal entity, IAESTE Turkey, operates as an institution. With more than 60 participating universities, IAESTE Turkey, identifies student candidates through local committees and provides internship opportunities to students coming to our country from abroad.
