Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Başar Recipient of the IEEE Turkey Research Incentive Award

Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Başar, was awarded the first ever "IEEE Turkey Research Incentive Award" by the "IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Turkey for his contributions to communications theory.

The IEEE Turkey Research Award, are given to those who go above and beyond in the IEEE areas of scientific study, who have completed their doctorate within the last 10 years, who have completed the majority of their post-doctorate research in Turkey, and who are scientists residing in Turkey.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Başar is the recipient of the 2017 Turkey Outstanding Young Scientist in the Academy of Sciences (TUBA-GEBIP) Award and the 2013 ITU Best Doctoral Thesis Award. Dr. Başar has over 60 publications in prestigious international journals and conferences, and two international patent applications that are in the evaluation stage. He is an IEEE Senior Member. Dr. Başar is currently co-editor of IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Access and Physical Communication (Elsevier) magazines.
