Research Projects

Istanbul Technical University prioritizes the research, which is an important component of the main functions of the universities, and sets its goal for being a research university. Hence, to achieve this goal, supports and grants awarded for the research projects are being enhanced, while the infrastructure for the research resources are being expanded. At ITU, research projects conducted are supported by several national and international organizations including DPT (Ministry of Development), TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey), TTGV (Technology Development Foundation of Turkey), MED-CAMPUS, UNDP (United Nations Development Program), EUREKA.

In order to enhance the research quality and increase the number of research projects, ITU initiated new research support programs in addition to the projects run by the President's Office, Research and Development and Graduate projects. These research support programs are listed as follows,
